Delayed in Kolkata

The day we arrived in Kolkata was June 4. Into the humid air and hot weather. We expected to sleep the night and continue our travel to Nagaland the next day. But the weather and timing wasn't so pleasant. That night, a huge storm came our way. I mean huge, the thunder woke us up a number of times in the middle of the night. And as we found out the next morning, June 5-7 are the taxi strike day. So we're without taxis or buses for our time here.
Today (Friday June 6) we went wondering around: from the Mother House, to Sudder Street, to the Victoria Memorial, to Flury's restaurant, and back to BMS. It was a long 3 hour walk. We definitely experienced the heat and humidity. But I thank God that we are well and safe. Maybe the Lord allowed us to stay here so we may have team time before going into our ministry in Nagaland.
And so, with our flight canceled and being unable to find transportation, we're stuck here in Kolkata until tomorrow, Saturday June 7. Pray that we may be able to fly out tomorrow to Nagaland, transportation provided.
Besides that, we are all hot and sticky. Peace.
